To enroll a first-time student at REACH for ECE 3-4, Kindergarten, and/or Grades 1 through 4, parents/guardians must participate in the DPS SchoolChoice Process.
If a student is already enrolled at REACH in ECE 3, Kindergarten, or Grades 1 through 3 and will return for the 2017-18 school year, it is not necessary to complete a SchoolChoice application.
However, if a student is enrolled at REACH for ECE 4 and wishes to attend kindergarten at REACH in 2017-18, parent/guardians must complete a SchoolChoice application. This requirement follows DPS policy and procedure for kindergarten enrollments.
For the 2017-18 school year, SchoolChoice Round One will begin on January. 5, 2017 and end at 4 p.m. on January 31, 2017. SchoolChoice application forms will be available at REACH, at all DPS schools, and on the website listed below. SchoolChoice application forms may be turned in at any DPS school or submitted on-line. To use the on-line option, parents/guardians must have a Parent Portal account at myportal.dpsk12.org.
By mid-March 2017, parents/guardians will be notified of their child’s school of enrollment by mail (if submitted in person) or e-mail (if submitted online). At this same time, SchoolChoice Round Two will open and continue through August 31, 2017. Students applying to REACH during ROUND TWO will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
